Abstract
Children and young people who have experienced trafficking have been subjected to exploitation and violence. However, one would expect the violence to stop when they are identified as victims/survivors of trafficking and placed under the care of state services put in place to support them. We question whether this is the case by highlighting the legal violence continues to be exercised through the very systems which are supposed to protect and support children and young people.
