Abstract
The worsening impasse in the Eastern Mediterranean is gaining momentum. However, it may seem strange to fight for a gas whose prices remain in free fall due to weak demand and the withdrawal of investors. So how to explain the escalation of the conflict between Turkey, Greece, Cyprus and Egypt, which attracts other regional and European powers?
