Dr Mateus Nascimento

Lecturer in Substance Use within the School of Public Health and Society and the Salvation Army Centre for Addiction Services and Research. My research relates to the measurement of recovery from substance use, investigating predictors of positive change and engagement with clinical and third-sector support services, and identifying neural correlates of substance use disorders. My two primary areas of interest are recovery capital theory in addition to Pavlovian-to-Instrumental Transfer effects on drug approach and consumption behaviour.
