Collaboration with Health and Global Policy Institute, Keio University, Mediva Inc, National University Corporation Shizuoaka University and Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology.
The proposal is to develop a network of researchers across Scotland (and RUK) and Japan, building on existing contacts with Keio university, Tokyo, the Mediva company and various communities in Japan and UK which have involvement in designing environments for people with dementia. The purpose of the network is to work towards developing international comparative research to submit for funding to ESRC/AHRC call which will follow from this call for network funding. The work of the network will involve building links, scoping workshops to build mutual understanding and a shared approach to research, and a final workshop which focuses on the project funding bid.
