Project

HPIT Supervision

Funded by NHS Education for Scotland.

The Research Supervisor will support the THP with their Research competency. This includes the design, data collection, analysis and write up of the systematic review and major empirical study. The Research Supervisor should be a BPS approved Supervisor in Health Psychology, and should have carried out and published high quality, peer reviewed research. They may be based in a University or NHS setting. There is no requirement for the Research Supervisor to be on the BPS Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS), however this is desirable. In line with NES guidance for the THP programme, we advise that Research Supervisors aim to provide feedback on documents produced by the THP throughout the research process within 4 weeks, and ideally sooner. A Research Supervisor may also be a Workplace Supervisor or Line Manager.
