Nursing Clearing courses
Get career-ready with a nursing degree from the University of Stirling.
With a blend of classroom learning and practical placements, Stirling is a superb place for you to learn the contemporary skills of nursing. We work with the Nursing and Midwifery Council to ensure that you receive the training you need to join nursing teams after graduation.
Study nursing at Stirling
BSc Nursing - Adult
Gain the education and confidence necessary to fulfil your role in the dynamic profession of nursing. You’ll undertake a wide variety of placements to develop your experience during this three-year course. You'll also have the opportunity to study abroad.
BSc (Hons) Nursing - Adult
This four-year Honours degree contains the same path as BSc Nursing - Adult, with an extra year to complete additional modules including a dissertation and achieve registration.
BSc Nursing - Mental Health
Mental Health nursing is a challenging yet rewarding profession where you can make a real difference in people’s lives. Our innovative Mental Health Nursing course will prepare you to meet the needs of a modern profession and provide the best possible care.
BSc (Hons) Nursing - Mental Health
This course follows the same three-year structure as BSc Nursing - Mental Health, with an additional year to complete more modules and achieve registration and an Honours degree.
Nursing scholarships and bursaries
Nursing students from the UK and Republic of Ireland are eligible for generous scholarships and bursaries:
- Students from Scotland are entitled to a £10,000 bursary each year for the first three years of study, and an additional £7,500 if completing an Honours year.
- Students from England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are eligible for our Nursing Scholarship, providing a £2,000 fee waiver each year for the first three years of study. You may also be eligible for £9,250 scholarships covering your Honours year tuition fees plus a £1,000 Clearing scholarship (terms and conditions apply).
We also cover the costs of occupational health consultations, criminal record checks, compulsory uniforms and inoculations, representing approximately £500 of savings.

Accommodation Available
We still have accommodation available on our beautiful campus and in our easily-accessible off-campus residences. If you're from England, Wales, Northern Ireland or overseas and apply by 31 August, you'll be guaranteed an offer of University-managed accommodation in your first year of study.
