Our nursing students actively engage in the global health community. One example of this is the Nightingale Initiative for Global Health. There are also opportunities for students to study abroad and gain valuable experience.

Nursing placements

Nursing placements are a key foundation of studying Nursing at Stirling. You'll develop skills and experience with placements at NHS Forth Valley and third sector partnerships.

Our placements go beyond standard hospital placements. You'll learn from a variety of practical experience conducted in diverse settings. These include the prison service, care homes, forensic placements and acute wards.

Hear from our students about their experiences on placement.

Be The One who makes a difference

Our BSc Adult Nursing graduate, Robert Muirhead, tells us about how studying at Stirling helped him to become a Staff Nurse in the Surgical Assessment Unit at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
