Success for award-winning Management Centre

Back to news

THE award-winning Stirling Management Centre at the University of Stirling has scooped another honour.

The centre won the “Conference Venue Award” at the Scottish Hotel Awards in Glasgow.

The competition attracts the cream of hospitality industry in Scotland.

Karene Aitchison, the Centre’s sales and deputy business manager, said: “This award acknowledges the exceptional staff, services and facilities we offer. The award is great news for us."

Earlier this year, the Executive Chef at the Centre, Raymond Thomson, notched up a silver award in the Scottish Chef of the Year competition.

The centre is also one of only two venues in Scotland to be awarded the highly-coveted Conference Centre of Excellence Award.

The centre, within the University grounds, offers deluxe accommodation and meeting facilities for a range of organisations - as well as an acclaimed restaurant and banqueting service. Find out more at http://www.smc.stir.ac.uk/
