Rugby scholarships

As a key partner of the Stirling County Fosroc Super6 rugby franchise, the University of Stirling now offers student athletes the opportunity to combine semi-professional rugby union alongside an academic degree programme.

Performance Standards

In order to be considered for the joint University of Stirling / Stirling County RFC support, players must be of a standard capable of playing at Super6 level. A proven track record at another club, franchise, academy or performance programme, and competition levels, will be amongst the indicators assessed.

Applying for a scholarship

Please complete and return the ISSP application form before 31 May for a September start.

Scholarships are subject to applicants achieving relevant academic entry requirements.

Additional Scholarship Opportunities

International Undergraduate Scholarship

The University of Stirling offers a tuition fee waiver of £2,000 per year of study (up to a maximum of four years) to full-time undergraduate students who are classed as international for tuition fee purposes. To receive the award, students must meet the country-specific academic criteria for their undergraduate degree programme.

Scholarships for undergraduate students from England, Wales, Northern Ireland, EU and International

The University of Stirling offers sports scholarships to undergraduate students from England, Wales, Northern Ireland, EU and International with a value of £2,000 per year of study.
