If English is not your first language, you must provide evidence of your English language skills. For a complete list of the English language qualifications we accept, including where we are able to waive an English condition based on certain local qualifications, please see our English Language requirements.

Some of our courses offer advanced entry routes that enable students to gain exemption from Year 1 of study and go directly into Year 2 or sometimes 3. Advanced Entry is not available on all courses, and entry requirements may vary. Bahrain

Undergraduate

Minimum GPA of 2.7/4 in a Bachelor's degree from Bahrain.

Bangladesh

Undergraduate

Postgraduate

We accept applications from graduates of Bangladeshi Higher Education Institutes recognised by UK ENIC (formerly UK NARIC). Applicants must have either:

A 4-year Bachelor’s degree 60% or GPA of 2.7/4, or
A Masters degree in addition to a 3-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% or GPA of 2.7/4

Belarus

China

Direct entry to Year 1

3-year Chinese Senior Secondary (Senior High) School Graduation Certificate with 70% overall.
2-year Chinese Huikao exam result 75% overall (Provinces without Huikao exams, students can apply with 75% overall from 6 modules).
Chinese Gaokao with a score of:
- 420 of 750 Majority of China
- 370 of 660 Shanghai
- 504 of 900 Hainan

Colombia

Minimum of 5 grades at B or above, and no grade below C in the WAEC (West Africa Examinations Council)/WASSCE (West African Senior School Certificate Examination). Postgraduate

Minimum 2.2 degree from a recognised university (CGPA 2.5/4, C+, 65%). Applicants from institutions affiliated to Ghanaian universities may be asked to achieve a higher standard for entry to a Masters course.

Greece

Undergraduate

Overall score of 17.5 in the Apolytirion of Geniko Lykeio for entry to most undergraduate courses. Applicants must have a minimum score of 17.5 in any essential subject that is required for the course.

Hong Kong (SAR)

Undergraduate

Holders of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or A-Levels obtained locally, will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate degree courses for both Year 1 and Year 2 entry. Details of the required subjects and grades for each degree can be found on course webpages.

Completed Hong Kong Higher Diplomas and Hong Kong Associate Degrees with a GPA of 2.9-3.3 may also be accepted for Year 2 entry. Contact our Admissions team for course specific entry requirements from these courses.

Direct Entry to undergraduate courses from HKDSE

Year 1 entry

A-Level BBB-BBC equivalent courses
3-3-3 in three subjects from core or elective subjects

Year 2 entry

Year 1 ABB equivalent courses (Law for example)
4-3-3 in three subjects from core or elective subjects

Where specific A-levels are required for any course, an elective in that subject will be required from HKDSE category A electives.

We do not accept integrated/combined science electives for degrees that require a full A-level subject in that area (biology for example).

Where A-level maths is required for any course, you will need to take Extended Mathematics. We accept both M1: Calculus and Statistics and M2: Algebra and Calculus.

Postgraduate

Minimum grade of a 2.2 equivalent (2.3 GPA, C+) in a four year Bachelor’s degree (Honours).

Hungary

Undergraduate

Erettségi Vizsga with an average at grade 3.5. Applicants must have a minimum score of 4 in the advanced exam of any essential subject that is required for the course.

We also accept:

European Baccalaureate with an overall score of between 60 - 70%, depending on the course. Applicants must have a minimum score of 70% in any essential subject that is required for the course.

India

Direct Entry to 1st Year:

Kenya

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum Grade B or above with any required subjects at B+.

Minimum second class, lower division Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 50% in a Bachelor's degree.

Kuwait

We accept the following qualifications:

High School Certificate MAW 6, with an overall minimum of 70%/3.5 (Very good) and 3.0 (Good) in any subjects where there is a specific requirement.
International Baccalaureate - overall score of between 26 - 34 points, depending on the course you are applying to. Some courses may also have subject-specific entry criteria.

We usually require US applicants to hold a combination of the following qualifications for entry. As a minimum, applicants must hold an accredited high school diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale, minimum B average), and one letter of reference. We will be test-optional for entry to the 2024/2025 academic year until further notice. If submitting test scores, we ask for any of the following:

ACT composite score of 26 or above (with no individual section below 24)
SAT - Post March 2016: Score 1200
Two AP tests at grade 3 or above (taken in junior or senior year of high school)
Two SAT II subject tests with 550-600 in each

Students must be taking the full diploma with the overall points requirement depending on the course you are applying to. We may also stipulate certain HL subjects for some courses. United Arab Emirates
