Discover some of the hidden treasures of the University’s collections as part of Doors Open Day 2023!

The University of Stirling Art Collection is a treasure trove of contemporary Scottish art, sculpture courtyards, 1960s furniture and working 19th Century Columbian Printing Press. Visitors are invited to explore our latest exhibitions, including work from artists such as Barbara Hepworth, Willie Rodger and Wilhelmina Barns-Graham (amongst many others) housed within the architecturally significant Pathfoot Building, the first teaching building of the University of Stirling.

The Pathfoot Press will be open from 11:00 to 14:00 and giving printing demonstrations so visitors can try their hand at some printing or watch the fascinating Press in action! This is a rare and exciting opportunity to see a working Columbian Press.

The Scottish Political Archive will also be hosting an ‘open archive’, where visitors can see material from the archive, which documents material and archives from Scottish political organisations, grassroots activism and stand-alone campaigns in order to chronic the political history of the 20th and 21st centuries.
