The course runs from late August to May and is taught in the evenings – Monday and Thursday from 6.30pm – 9.30pm.
The first semester starts in August with a 4 week module called Learning Strategies, designed to help you get back into study and provide some basic study skills. From mid-September you begin your academic subject modules, depending upon the course stream you are on.
The second semester usually starts in the second week of January with the second Learning Strategies module. From mid-February onwards you will continue with your academic modules.

The fees for the course for study in 2017 are £488. Depending upon your circumstances you may be eligible for support from the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS). For more information please visit www.saas.gov.uk.
This course provides entry into Arts and Humanities, Education, Management, Social Science and Sport related degrees. In addition to the Learning Strategies modules you are able to choose 2 modules a semester from a range of subjects such as Politics, Psychology, Sociology and Business and Management.
This course provides entry into degrees in the Biological and Natural Sciences. In addition to more tailored Learning Strategies you will study modules in subjects such as Biology, Environmental Science and Maths, providing you with the basic skills required to study a scientific subject.
This course provides entry into a variety of branches in Nursing. In addition to more tailored Learning Strategies and Data Skills, which meet the Nursing and Midwifery Councils Maths and English requirements, you will study basic Science and Biology units to provide you with a strong base of knowledge.
