The University of Stirling welcomes students from all over the UK to join us at our fantastic campus here in central Scotland. We're easy to reach by train, air and road. But we know that some extra help with the costs of travel and study never goes amiss, so we‘re offering a generous package of support for UK students from outside Scotland.
Like other universities across England and Wales, starting from 2018, our undergraduate tuition fees for students from England, Northern Ireland and Wales will be £9,250 per year. No-one has to pay this up front and tuition fee loans are available through your relevant national funding body to meet the costs.
The good news is that if, having entered in year 1 and progressed successfully through years 2 and 3, you then join the Honours year of study at Stirling, you will be awarded a scholarship, covering the full cost of the fees in your final year. That’s £9,250 less in tuition fee loans compared with equivalent length courses in universities in England and Wales. No application is needed, and the Honours Scholarships will be automatically applied in your fourth year of study.
With all we have to offer at Stirling we’re sure that you will want to make us your first choice University. We are making available a generous Scholarship of £1000 to help with the costs of travel for all UK undergraduates from outside of Scotland who join us in 2018. To qualify for the Choice Scholarship, you’ll just need to make us your first choice on UCAS and then meet the conditions of your entry offer.
This Choice Scholarship, combined with the Honours Year Scholarship, results in over £10,000 of financial support – a huge help with study and travel costs.
As Scotland’s University of Sporting Excellence we’re home to great facilities, coaching and tremendous support for those who love sport. If you are joining us from outside of Scotland then you can also apply for one of our many Sports Bursaries worth £2,000 per year of study and available to athletes who participate in football, golf, swimming, tennis and triathlon. (Other sporting disciplines will be considered on a case-by-case basis).
Our Sports Bursaries are awarded based on a combination of academic merit and sporting achievement, and you will need to meet the University’s academic admission standards.
