What influenced you to choose Stirling Management School to study your course?
When looking into the different universities and what they had to offer, Stirling offered the greatest flexibility. When I first started my course I was unsure about what to specialise in, Stirling offered the greatest choice of combination of subjects. It also offered the chance to study abroad for a semester, something which I would have liked to have done if my circumstances had been different. The campus itself also helped in my choice, it is a beautiful place to study all year round. The beautiful scenery allows headspace at stressful times, such as exam and essay time, giving you that well needed down time.

What are the benefits you found as a result of studying at Stirling?
The flexibility of the courses was a great benefit; I was able to change my degree easily with no hassle. I was able to learn about the many different aspects of a business rather than just the combination of degree I had chosen. The support and advice available from the lecturers is fantastic!During my time studying I had a few very trying moments, I was always able to seek advice and help from my lecturers.Without such a great support from the lecturers and services available within the university, I would have been unable to complete my degree.

What specific feature(s) did you like most about the course?
I enjoyed the choice to mix and match subjects, the different knowledge and challenges which each subject brought. Being able to choose from other aspects of business enabled a greater knowledge of why certain things were done; it helped to fit all the pieces together.

What advice would you give to prospective students considering coming to Stirling?
If considering the university as a place of study, go for it!I have spoken to friends who studied at other universities and they have had nowhere near as much support, advice or flexibility.I could not have had better support services available or lecturers. The university offers flexibility, support, advice and a diverse range of people to get to know on a beautiful campus. The Campus is a 5 minute bus ride away from the city centre, enabling you to have the peace and quiet of the country but also the buzz of the city.

What impact do you think your studies will have on your future career?
My studies have enabled me to gain the knowledge and skills needed for a future career.Again the flexibility of the course structure has also taught me about flexibility, something which many employers now look for in a person. The diversity of the students within Stirling has also taught me about people’s different ways of life, both within this country and other countries.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I would highly recommend studying at Stirling to anyone, especially within the management school. Is offers a solid ground for learning with excellent facilities in order to aid you to do so.My time during university was excellent and enjoyable due to the excellent support network available, both lecturers and fellow students.
