MSc Advanced Practice

Spain

Why did you decide to study a postgraduate course?

I am very focused on my professional development and from the beginning of my undergraduate it was clear for me the importance of continuing with my studies.

What attracted you to Stirling?

I did my undergraduate degree in Adult Nursing here and decided to stay as I was very happy at the University of Stirling.

What did you enjoy most about your time at the University of Stirling?

I really like the university campus and facilities including the gym. Also, I have an interest in research and the University of Stirling focuses in this area very well.

Do you think the degree has made you more employable, or better prepared for further study? If yes, what are the key skills? What contacts/networks have you made in your time at Stirling?

Although I am only close to being half way through my masters, I am convinced the MSc Advanced Practice will open exciting opportunities for me in the future. I am studying part-time as well as a practicing nurse, by the end of the programme I will have three years experience and a Masters degree.

What advice would you give a student considering studying at Stirling?

This is a great university with a fantastic campus with very modern and relevant programmes. I would highly recommend the University of Stirling.

If you have graduated, what are you doing now? If not, what do you hope to do?

I completed my undergraduate BSc Adult Nursing here in 2014 and soon after became a staff nurse at a very busy emergency department at the same time studying part-time towards my Masters.
