During my time as an undergraduate at the University of Stirling I studied a joint honours degree in Philosophy and Politics, graduating with a 2:1 in 2012. I had a great time at Stirling both studying and meeting new people; I have made friends for life as well as graduating with a high quality degree that has helped me get into the line of work I wanted after graduating.
I now work for Members of the Scottish Parliament as a Parliamentary Assistant working in both the Constituency office and in Parliament in Edinburgh. I really believe that having a good, relevant degree in the subject helped me get into employment and a job I really enjoy.
Since graduating I took a year out from studying and since then have returned to the university, this time as a postgraduate, distance learning MSc student in Strategic Public Relations. I returned to study because I know how valuable my undergraduate degree was in getting me to where I am now, I am hopeful a further postgraduate qualification will once again give me an extra foot up in the job market and help me go further.
