Andrew Giles

BA (Hons) Spanish

After graduating from Stirling I decided to undertake postgraduate study and am currently studying at Bristol University.  I am a part-time language teacher, which helps to support my postgraduate study, and I am also a freelance writer and editor.  Whilst at Stirling I set up, and remain editor of, Scotland’s online literary arts and culture journal, New Linear Perspectives.

The focus and skills that studying at Stirling gave me has allowed me to simultaneously pursue a postgraduate academic career and to set up my business.

I was attracted to Stirling because of its beautiful geographic location and its excellent Spanish Department, where I encountered some really inspiring teachers both on the linguistic and academic side.
