What happens at a Virtual Open Day?

Make the most of your Virtual Open Day experience with our guide on what to expect and how to explore everything we have to offer.

Our Virtual Open days give you great opportunities to find out about student life and study at Stirling.

Throughout the live event, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about our academic courses and speak to our lecturers and current students.

Accessing Virtual Open Day

When you first registered for a Virtual Open day, you were emailed a link to the event.

Clicking on that link will take you to the Virtual Open day and ask you to update your profile. You’ll need to add your name, email address and a password. Don’t worry - your email address will not be made public as it's just for login purposes.

You can also add additional information to your profile if you choose.

Take the walk through tour

Once you’ve completed your profile, we recommend you head over to our walk through video. It will help you understand what to expect, and how to find your way around all the features of our Virtual Open Day.

We then recommend you watch our Welcome to Stirling presentation. This will welcome you to the Open Day and introduce you to Stirling.

Virtual Open Day features

Our Virtual Open Day features five areas with a mix of presentations, videos and live chat. It also includes our Virtual Tour, which showcases our beautiful campus and facilities.

Extra tips

We’re here to help you get the most out of your Virtual Open Day experience and find all about us. Here are a few extra tips to improve your experience.

You can add documents and information to your event bag for reference after the live event is over. The walk through tour will explain how to do this.

A useful feature of our Open days is live chat with our students and staff. But if the live chat is too public for you, you can always private message us to ask sensitive or personal questions.

Chat and information is saved in case you need to go back and check anything after the event.
