Finances

Finance can be a real concern for some students, and finding out what you're entitled to can seem daunting. The best thing to do is to talk to as many people as possible before you start.

To find out what support you can get use the links below.

Basic financial information

Find out basic information on funding and fees, including links to possible sources of support. This includes information for non-Scottish students.

Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS)

SAAS is the main source of tuition fee and student loan support for Scottish students at university and those studying HNC and HND courses at a Scottish college.

Scottish students who're studying full time at university don't have to pay tuition fees for their first degree and can also apply for a student loan. SAAS can also provide some support for students who want to study part-time depending on your income and your course.

Student Support Services

Student Support Services are the main source of advice within the University, including Money Advisers, Disability Advisers and counsellors. They can provide more tailored personal advice.

Students’ Union
