for Teaching

QS World University Rankings 2018

At Stirling, we’re focused on providing education with a purpose. Our dedicated staff are here to prepare you to go out into an increasingly global society and be the difference to help transform it for the better. That’s what makes our graduates stand out.

Five-star teaching

Our collaborative, research-led approach consistently earns us five stars for our teaching in the QS World University Rankings. More importantly, our students love the way we teach. That’s why they named us first in Scotland for having good teachers, quality lecturers and performance feedback in the most recent International Student Barometer, and ranked us joint 8th in the UK for our high-quality staff and lecturers (The Student Experience Survey 2017).

Flexible learning

We offer a range of postgraduate courses on a part-time basis, which enables you to study at a pace that best suits your lifestyle. Available part-time courses range from Sustainable Aquaculture to Psychology and Sport Management, and our programme directors will do everything they can to help accommodate your personal needs.

If you’d like to earn a Masters degree but making it onto campus isn’t an option, we also offer a number of online distance learning courses. These are available to students from all over the globe. Courses range from Strategic Public Relations and Public Health to Performance Coaching and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and normally take around three years to complete.

Our world-class teaching is designed to inspire and motivate our diverse and exciting community. We’ll help you to thrive in today’s interconnected world.
