There are a number of options for funding your participation in the ISS.

It may be possible to use your scholarships, grants and loans for taking part in the ISS. Your home institution may also offer specific grants to encourage study abroad.

Students from the U.S. majoring in any science, engineering, technology or mathematics subject are encouraged to apply to the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program and in particular the Summer 2017 award cycle described on this page.

  • You need not study one of these subject areas during your summer study abroad.
  • Scholarships range from US$1,500 - $5,000
  • A number of ISS students have received this scholarship over the years
