Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level)
The University requires applicants holding the Irish Leaving Certificate to have achieved grade B at Higher Level in at least five subjects. Requirements vary dependent on the programme and subject area that the applicant is applying to. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any specific queries you may have.
We consider the full diploma with overall points between 26 - 34 depending on the programme. We may also stipulate certain HL subjects for some programmes.
The University welcomes applications from students holding a minimum of a lower second class Bachelors degree for entry to most Master level programmes.
If English is not your first language, you’ll need to demonstrate a minimum level of English language proficiency. The University of Stirling accepts a variety of tests, details of the minimum grades required can be found in the English Language Qualifications List.
Prospective postgraduate students should also check the specific grade required for their chosen programme by checking the postgraduate programme listings as appropriate.

Scholarships and studentships can assist students in paying tuition fees and living costs during their study. The value of award differs from one scholarship to another and normally students must apply directly to the awarding body.
