New Students and Families’ Welcome Reception | 2.30pm to 3.30pm | Macrobert Art Centre | Our Families’ Welcome Reception starts with short welcome speeches from the University Principal, President of the Students’ Union, Director of Sport and Head of Student Support Services. Following this, parents have the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments and meet with senior members of the University. Register now for a place. |

This workshop explores some of the attributes and skills undergraduate students need to be successful at the University of Stirling. The workshop will give you an insight into what the lecturers and tutors expect of you and some hints and tips on managing your assignments. It is also an opportunity to ask questions about studying at university. No booking required, just turn up. |

This workshop explores the expectations around academic writing at university. There will be a particular focus on using ‘evidence’ within your work, referencing and ensuring that you avoid plagiarism. We will also briefly talk about academic misconduct. No booking required – just turn up. |
