Spring Semester Courses 2020

Introduction to lifting

Dates: Tuesdays (21 January – 3 March*)
Time: 17:30 – 19:00
Location: Performance Suite
Want to feel fitter and stronger, but don’t know where to start? Join our Fitness Officer to learn the basics of strength training and improve your confidence using the free weights.  This is a great first step into strength training as you will learn a range of exercises and techniques to train specific muscle groups over the six week course.

*Excluding 18 February due to mid-semester break

Couch to 5k

Dates: Tuesdays (25 February – 7 April)
Time: 17:30 – 18:15
Location: Around Campus
Have you ever wanted to build up to running a 5k to improve your fitness?  Why not start now with our student Couch to 5k course?  Our instructor, Alex will build up your fitness over the seven weeks to take on our Campus 5k on 8th April!  The course is a great way to achieve your goals, meet new people and take a break from studying.  Price includes FREE entry into our Campus 5k event.
