Develop new skills, gain confidence and progress in your chosen activity with our six-week student courses, led by one of our qualified instructors.

Booking and prices

  • Must be booked in advance by booking online or visiting reception.
  • Spaces are limited.

Unless otherwise stated, prices are:

  • Non-members: £22.50 (find out how you can join us)
  • Members: £15 

Introduction to gym

Date: Wednesdays, 7 November – 12 December 2018

Location: Gym

Are you new or looking to get into the gym? This course is a great way to meet similar people, find out the basics of using the equipment and how to make the most of your time in the gym.

Introduction to lifting

Date: Mondays, 5 November – 10 December 2018

Time: 20:00 – 21:00

Location: Performance Suite

Want to feel fitter and stronger, but don’t know where to start? Join our Fitness Officer to learn the basics of strength training and improve your confidence using the equipment.

This is a great first step into strength training as you will learn a range of exercises and techniques to train specific muscle groups.

Olympic lifting

Date: Thursdays, 8 November – 13 December 2018

Progress your weightlifting goals and perfect your technique with our brand new Olympic Lifting course for students and staff. Join an ex-Olympian Weightlifter to learn the basics of the Olympic Lifts for a new challenge. Limited spaces so book now to grab your space.
