The temporary facilities will be fully accessible with designated changing and toilet facilities available within the changing village and main temporary facility.
Disabled access routes and parking will be available next to the swimming pool, accessed via the main road through campus, and next to the temporary main entrance and changing village which can be accessed from Airthrey Road (follow signs to Institute of Sport).
The artificial pitches will continue to operate as normal throughout the build period.
The athletics track will be available as normal during the majority of build period but may experience small periods of disruption.
A mobile café provision will be available in the main temporary facility in tennis courts five and six, serving drinks and light snacks including sandwiches (no hot food will be served). There will also be seating as part of the café provision.
Indoor, team and outdoor facilities will be available in the changing village on the multi-use games area at the rear of the centre, next to the athletics track. The main tennis centre changing rooms will also be available during busy periods i.e. Wednesday afternoons. All facilities will be heated and lockers will be provided in changing areas as well as on the main gym floor.
A drop-off zone will be available at the west end of the swimming pool, near the temporary swimming pool entrance.
The temporary main entrance to the sports centre will be at the rear of tennis courts five and six, at the back of the existing building.
Users should access the main entrance by walking down the path opposite the top Cottrell car park, towards the Institute of Sport, and past the athletics track.
Signage will be in place and users can access the main entrance directly or via the changing village.
Our full timetable of fitness classes will run as normal throughout the build period, with classes hosted in the studio on the main temporary gym floor (studio will be segregated from other users) and a second studio which currently hosts indoor cycling classes.
All grass pitches will be available throughout the build period.
The main gym and fitness suite will be based in tennis courts five and six at the rear of the sports centre. This includes all cardio, resistance and free weights equipment, including lifting platforms. There will be no reduction in fitness equipment provision in the temporary facilities.
The indoor cycling studio will be based in the main temporary facility in tennis courts five and six at the rear of the sports centre. The studio will be segregated from the main gym floor.
Lockers will be provided in the different changing facilities as well as on the main gym floor.
As level of service, value and facility provision will be maintained throughout the works, membership prices will remain the same for the temporary facilities.
There will be no standard parking available at the sports centre for the temporary or new facility. During the build, there will be a drop-off zone at the west end of the swimming pool, near the temporary entrance.
Users are advised to park in the main university car parks either at the Cottrell or Pathfoot buildings. Further parking is available at residences or towards the rear of the University if required.

The performance strength and conditioning area, used by ISSP sports, Institute of Sport athletes and Sports Union Clubs, will move to the current downstairs S&C space and can be accessed via the entrance between the tennis centre and sports hall buildings.
Physiotherapy services will be delivered in a temporary unit within the changing village.
The reception desk will be based in the main temporary facility and gym floor.
The sports hall will continue to operate as normal and can be accessed via the entrance between the tennis centre and sports hall buildings.
Arrangements for sports science facilities will be confirmed in due course.
The squash courts will continue to operate as normal and can be accessed via the entrance between the tennis centre and sports hall buildings.
The swimming pool will continue to operate as normal but a temporary entrance and reception will be in place. Lessons will also run as normal.

Tennis courts one to four in the main tennis centre will be in operation throughout the build period although availability will likely be limited due to tennis courts five and six hosting the main temporary facility. Full details of changes to access and tennis lesson provision will be announced once finalised.
Toilets will be available in the indoor changing rooms and main changing village as well as in the main tennis centre changing rooms.
