Current safety measures

Updated 23 December 2021

Following the latest government guidance, regarding COVID-19, please see below updated safety measures that will be effective in our facilities from Sunday 26 December for a period of three weeks:

  • 1m physical distancing

1m physical distancing will be required throughout the facilities between groups (maximum of three households per group) or individual users.

  • Three households per group

Only three households are permitted per group when using the facilities.

  • Reduced class capacities

To enable appropriate physical distancing, fitness classes will have reduced capacities during the three week period. Please note waiting lists will be activated on all classes to maximise booking opportunities.

  • Gym equipment layout

Some equipment in the gym spaces may be rearranged or cordoned off to enable the updated physical distancing requirements.

  • Indoor contact sport

All non-professional adult indoor contact sport is prohibited during this period. Anyone with affected bookings will be contacted by our team with more details.

  • Pay and play changes

To meet the indoor sport guidelines, pay and play squash and basketball will not be available during the three week period.

We hope the changes will only be in place for the suggested timescale and thank you in advance for your co-operation in adhering to the new measures.

Existing measures including the use of face coverings, hand sanitising and equipment cleaning will remain in place as they are.
