Dive into a skill for life

Swimming classes for children

Children can learn to swim, develop technique and gain confidence in the water with our classes for pre-nursery age upwards.

Our Learn to Swim programme follows the new National Swimming Framework for Scotland. The framework provides a clear set of national standards and a pathway which allows you to follow your child’s progression and their ability to swim.

Within the National Swimming Framework we deliver an Early Years Programme and Learn to Swim Programme.

Early Year Programme

Our teachers introduce you and your baby to a swimming environment. We encourage independent movement, water confidence and core aquatic skills using fun, games and songs.

Learn to Swim Programme

This programme helps teachers to plan and deliver classes for swimmers who want to achieve ‘club ready’ or ‘ready for lifelong swimming’ levels.
