The health and wellbeing of our customers and staff is our top priority and the team has pulled out all the stops to create an environment where users can feel safe and confident when working out.
You will see a number of precautionary measures put in place on your next visit and we’d like to thank you in advance for your co-operation as we welcome you back to the facilities with the changes in place.
So what are we doing to keep everyone safe?
The temporary gym space has been set out into clearly defined areas to ensure everyone can work out in a safe zone. You’ll also be asked to follow a one way system around the activity areas to minimise unnecessary contact, which are clearly marked and sign-posted (see floor plan *link*)
The team will be wearing face coverings when patrolling the indoor facilities, unless instructing a class. We ask that all visitors wear face coverings when entering and exiting our indoor facilities. Coverings can be removed once at your work space and commencing your session. Users can continue to wear their coverings during their workout if they prefer.
We have restricted capacities within our facilities and activities in line with government guidelines and to help maintain safe physical distancing. These will be subject to change as guidance evolves.
We have introduced a pre-booking system for all activities, including the temporary gym and classes. Members will be asked to book and pay in advance to avoid disappointment. We ask that you arrive no more than 10 minutes ahead of your time slot. Find out more about booking your session.
Temperature Checks on Arrival
We have invested in thermal scanner technology. All users will temperature-checked on arrival. This will be with either our main freestanding thermal reader or a portable device. Entry will be denied if you are found to have a high temperature of 37.8C or above (a verification reading will be taken to ensure accuracy). A full clean of the entrance area will then be undertaken before allowing other attendees to enter.
Hand sanitising stations
Whilst we ask that all visitors maintain excellent hand hygiene and wash their hands regularly, we have also installed additional hand sanitiser stations throughout the facilities (at entrances, exits and outside WCs).
Each station within the temporary gym will have a cleaning pack containing anti-viral cleaning spray and paper roll for cleaning down equipment following use. There will be an increased number of cleaning stations and bins throughout the facilities.
We will continue to clean our facilities and equipment to the highest standards throughout the day, and there will be designated cleaning times between sessions in all areas, including the temporary gym. The staff will use an anti-viral cleaning spray between sessions across all facilities and an electrostatic disinfect within the temporary gym area on a daily basis. We ask that all visitors continue this increased level of cleaning and hygiene following their use of equipment.
