As the lead Careers and Employability Consultant for the Health Sciences and Sport faculty, Lena has a strong interest in sport as a former competitive dancer and now judge and is a qualified Highland Hustle teacher. She also enjoys cycling and going to the gym on a regular basis.
After graduating with a joint MA (Hons) in French and German from the University of Glasgow, Lena worked in sales and finance for a number of years before returning to university to become a professionally qualified careers adviser, graduating with a PG Diploma in Career Education and Guidance from Edinburgh Napier University. Since then she has developed a range of experience across the public, private and third sectors and has spent the past 8 years working in higher education, in 3 different institutions with a variety of caseloads, primarily Health Sciences and Business.
Lena delivers a range of workshops in the faculty at both undergraduate and post graduate level as well as one to one guidance support.
