Emily has considerable experience in the field of graduate recruitment, careers information, advice and guidance. She has a keen interest in people development and works on a regular basis with students, graduates, employers and universities.
Emily graduated from Newcastle University in 2004 with a BA (hons) in Geography and Education, where she then joined an Edinburgh based recruitment company, Graduates for Growth. Working as a Graduate Recruitment Manager she was responsible for managing various recruitment processes for both local and international companies. During her time at Graduates for Growth she also studied part-time at Napier University for a Postgraduate in Human Resource Management (CIPD accredited). In 2008 she joined Heriot Watt University Careers Service as an Employability Project Officer. She then joined the University of Stirling in January 2010 as a Careers and Employability Consultant. She works with students and staff to enhance their career management skills and employability through a range of comprehensive careers education activities. She is responsible for providing individual careers advice and guidance to students, graduates and postgraduates through one-to-one guidance and group work. She is currently the main Careers and Employability Consultant for the Stirling Management School contributing to the design and delivery of careers education in the curriculum. She is a member of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) and is CIPD qualified.
