We provide competitive, recreational and social sport for all students.
This year we are launching a brand new recreational sports programme, exclusively for students, called Get Active which has the aim of engaging more students in physical activity. It has been designed for students who want to exercise, try a new sport and play sport in a social environment away from the pressure of competition. It’s a great way to keep fit, socialise and meet new people. There are over 14 different activities/sports available to drop into on a weekly basis so there is something for everyone.
The University of Stirling’s Intramural Sport programme USIMS includes a weekly 6 a-side football league and numerous other one-off events. Intramural provides students with a chance to create their own teams and compete against other teams within the University.
Student club sport at Stirling is run by the Stirling Sports Union, with over 55 clubs currently covering everything from athletics to water polo. A number of teams compete in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) events and competitions organised by Scottish Student Sport.
