Triathlon scholarships

We are officially Scotland's University for Sporting Excellence in recognition of our contributin to Scottish Sport. We're renowned for our outstanding contributions to world sport and for giving young talent opportunities to fulfil their potential.

Triathlon scholarships at the University of Stirling provide a fantastic package of training, competition and funding support to fit in alongside academic studies. At Stirling we bring together high performance coaches, excellent facilities, innovative sport science, strength and conditioning and performance mentoring.

Stirling are proud to host the National Performance Centre for Triathlon Scotland, a British Triathlon Satellite Centre, providing a training home for elite and high performance competitors.

Our excellent facilities include: the National Swimming Academy with its 50m pool which splits into two 25m tanks. Tartan synthetic athletics track, state of the art strength and conditioning suites and sports science laboratories which are home to the sportscotland Institute of Sport. The University has unrivalled running and biking terrain in the nearby Ochil hills and Stirlingshire countryside. We are 1st in Scotland and 2nd in the UK for sports facilities (The International Student Barometer (ISB) 2016).

Scholarship triathletes represent the University in British University events and also compete in elite-level races at home and abroad.
