The University of Stirling is a member institution of the ESRC Scottish Doctoral Training Partnership. The Scottish Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) is led by the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science which facilitates funding, training and support for doctoral students in the social sciences. The DTP offers a range of studentship awards each year for students to pursue research degrees. Successful students benefit from a high-value scholarship package, a wealth of supervisory expertise across the social sciences as well as numerous training and development opportunities.
There are a minimum of 5 awards of up to £1000 available to support research travel in countries within the Santander Universities Network. Available to all current University of Stirling doctoral students.
Eligible activities include: PhD fieldwork and other relevant collaborative research work, student exchange visits and other specialist research training activities (this does not include conferences).
