The Caledonian Research Foundation supports and encourages independent research in Scotland. The Foundation provides funding for postgraduate scholarships which are awarded through the Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland.
There is no preference for subject in awarding the scholarships, and at least one award each year is made in a non-scientific discipline. The scholarships are offered to academically outstanding candidates intending to study on a PhD programme at any University in Scotland.
The University of Stirling can submit 3 nominations in each academic year.
Prospective supervisors must submit the completed nomination form to Stirling Graduate School (firstname.lastname@example.org) by the published deadline. Following an internal selection process, nominations selected to go to the Carnegie Trust for consideration will be accompanied by a letter of institutional support.
