Gender Studies Community Bursaries
Deadline for applications has passed. Information available for reference only.
Eligibility and availability
To be eligible, applicants should be working in a paid or voluntary capacity with one of our community partners at the time of application.
Our community partners for 2019-20 are Scottish Women's Aid, Forth Valley Rape Crisis, Glasgow Women's Library, Women's Support Project, LEAP Sports, Zero Tolerance and Engender and Scottish Queer International Film Festival or other organisations in the equality sector.
Please note that applicants are not eligible to accept both the Gender Studies Bursary and a University of Stirling Postgraduate Merit Scholarship. For this scholarship, the University of Stirling is offering any UK or European Union student with a First Class Honours degree (or equivalent) a £2,000 scholarship to study full-time on any taught Masters course or £1,000 for part-time study.
How do I apply?
Applicants simply need to email the Programme Director Darren Elliott-Smith on firstname.lastname@example.org to indicate their intention to apply and note that they would like to be considered for the bursary as part of their personal statement in their application.
Applicants should also provide a reference from a colleague in the partner organisation as part of their application.
