This plan documents the way in which the University of Stirling will respond to a major incident. It identifies those who will be responsible for leading and coordinating the University’s response, as well as their call out and meeting procedures. This plan is intentionally generic, as it will be used to shape the response to any major incident affecting the University.
As per the Business Continuity Policy, each School & Service Area will have their own business continuity (BC) arrangements in place. These will be adequate for managing some incidents, however larger scale incidents that are wide ranging or of severe impact may require the University response and recovery to be coordinated centrally. The invocation of this plan will not remove the need for School & Service Area BC arrangements to be implemented as necessary.
