Our place in the world

Our outreach is global – with over 120 nationalities represented on campus and research and teaching partnerships in more than 100 countries. We're proud to be a truly international university, and we are always expanding our strategic alliances in order to promote research excellence and innovative teaching with a worldwide impact. 

Connecting globally

The expertise of our partners complements our knowledge, and working collaboratively empowers us to increase the positive effect we can have on the world. Current collaborations include a multi-million pound scheme to reduce tobacco-related harm in Asia and Africa. The partnership involves six UK universities, eight overseas partners and support from Cancer Research UK and the Global Challenges Research Fund.
