Centre for Environment, Heritage and Policy
The Centre for Environmental History and Policy was originally established in 1999. It is strongly inter-disciplinary in outlook and research, looking to combine the best research in the Humanities and the Sciences, in particular History and Politics as well as the natural and biological sciences, in order advance our knowledge and understanding of the environment. A particular focus lies on the interaction between people, animals, and their natural environment, landscape archaeology, as well as questions of public policy relating to pollution and natural disasters. In 2014 the Centre incorporated Heritage into its title to reflect new directions in research and teaching. For more information please visit the Centre webpage at: http://www.stir.ac.uk/cehp/
