About me

I am a Lecturer at the Centre for Child Wellbeing and Protection. Before coming to Stirling, I worked as a Research Fellow and as a Teaching Fellow in Social Work at the University of Edinburgh.

I am currently researching the experiences of BME and migrant children as they move to primary school with Dr Autumn Rosech Marsh at Edinburgh University.

I was the Scottish researcher for the Talking and Listening to Children research on social workers' communication with children in everyday practice.

My PhD examined children's post-separation contact with non-resident fathers in the context of domestic abuse. I have an MSc in Childhood Studies and a BA in Community Learning and Development.
