About me

Dr Kim Barker lectures in the areas of intellectual property, internet law and commercial law.


Before joining Stirling Law School, Dr Barker taught at the University of Wolverhampton, and acted as course leader for a number of programmes delivered at the University of Wolverhampton's Mauritius Branch Campus. She has a range of experience of delivering non-standard modules and degree programmes, and has delivered modules internationally to students in Mauritius, Sri Lanka and Russia. Prior to her role at the University of Wolverhampton, Dr Barker worked as a teaching fellow at the University of Birmingham, developing intellectual property, and internet law modules.

Dr Barker has contributed to several BILETA responses to Intellectual Property Office consultations in the area of copyright reform. She holds a PhD in Intellectual Property and Contract Law from Aberystwyth University.
