Kepa Mendibil is a Senior Lecturer in Business Practice at the Centre for Advanced Management Education, Stirling Management School. In his current role he supports the development of a full range of business engagement programmes including executive education, collaborative research and business consultancy projects for postgraduate students.
Kepa’s academic career has been characterised by continuous collaboration with organisations across different business sectors. He has designed and delivered consultancy, training, research and knowledge transfer projects focused on innovating organisational management processes and operations. Companies he has worked with include Australian National Institute for Manufacturing, Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service, British Waterways, Weir Group, Highland Spring, Johnson & Johnson, Backcock International, Moorbrook Textiles, Alexander Dennis, Selex Galileo, Aquapac, Highland Colour Coaters and RP Adam. Before taking a full academic post Kepa spent 3 years working for high value manufacturing organisations in process re-engineering, operations improvement and ERP implementation projects.
Kepa is a former chair of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Manufacturing Section in Scotland, Member of the European Operations Management Association, Board member of the International Federation of Information Processing WG 5.7 and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Kepa holds a PhD on Team Performance Measurement and MSc in Competitive Manufacturing from the University of Strathclyde (Scotland, UK) and Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from University of Mondragon (Basque Country).
