I am currently a NERC science knowledge exchange fellow for the Radioactivity and the Environment (RATE) programme.
The RATE programme was co funded by the Environment Agency and Radioactive Waste Management to address challenges associated with radioactivity in the environment. My new role is to create impact from this extensive research and make it available and accessible to users. For more information please see the RATE website: https://www.bgs.ac.uk/rate
My PhD project was part of the RATE programme and focussed on investigating the effects of low dose chronic ionising radiation on bumblebees using laboratory studies and field studies based in Chernobyl.
Previously I have worked extensively in the Seychelles archipelago on terrestrial and marine conservation projects and invasive species eradication
