I am an Anniversary Fellow with a joint appointment in the Division of Psychology and Division of Law & Philosophy.
Prior to coming to Stirling, I held postdoctoral research positions at the Universities of Barcelona and Warwick.
I completed my PhD in philosophy at the University of Edinburgh with a thesis titled 'The concept of self: thinking of oneself as a subject of thought'.
My research is in the philosophy of mind and psychology, focusing primarily on the nature of perceptual experience and the senses. I'm currently working on bodily awareness, multisensory perception and the perception of events.
I'm also interested in self-consciousness, first-person thought and the philosophy of action.
