About me

Born in Sparta Greece, Theo graduated in 1996 from the University of Cambridge, King's College, with a BA in Economics and an M.Phil in Economic Theory and Econometrics. During 1996-1998, he served as a cadet officer in the Greek Army Special Forces and worked as an economic analyst for the manufacturing multinational PZ Cussons Plc. in Manchester U.K. during 1998-1999. He obtained an MPA/ID from the John F. Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University in 2001, graduating with the highest academic achievement (John E. Thayer award). His studies were completed at the University of California at Berkeley with an M.A. in Mathematics (2007), an M.Sc.B.A. in Finance (2007) from the Walter A. Haas School of Business, and a Ph.D. in Economics (2007). Theo has been an Assistant Professor at the Collegio Carlo Alberto in Torino, Italy and a lecturer in Economics at the School of Economics and Finance at the University of St Andrews. He is currently the director of the MSc Finance & Economics and the MSc Digital Banking & Finance. He is also the convenor of the MSc dissertations for the Scottish Graduate Programme in Economics.
