I am Assistant Director of the Behavioural Science Centre and Programme Director of the Behavioural Science MSc.
My research interests broadly include the intersection of economics with psychology, with a particular emphasis on how various kinds of threat (death, uncertainty, social exclusion) influences attitudes, behaviours, and decisions. Much of this work utilises experimental methods to probe the impact of threat on social, economic, and health related outcomes.
My teaching includes delivery of behavioural science modules at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as delivery of research methods and quantitative analyses modules. I am a Fellow of Higher Education Academy and have received a RATE award for 'Innovation in Postgraduate Teaching'.
I have availability to supervise Ph.D students with an interest in behavioural science.
