About me

Sally Haw is Professor of Public & Population Health in the Faculty of Health Sciences & Sport. She joined Stirling University in 2011 and was Director of Research between 2012 and 2015. She now leads the Population and Public Health Research Group in the Faculty. Prior to coming to Stirling she worked at the interface between research and public health policy. First with NHS Health Scotland as Principal Public Health Advisor, where she designed and led the evaluation of Scotland's smoke-free legislation. She then joined Professor John Frank as Senior Scientific Advisor to establish the MRC-based Scottish Collaboration for Public Health Research & Policy (SCPHRP), which has since been incorporated into the University of Edinburgh
