About me

Gill Tasker joined Stirling in 2018 as Lecturer in Digital Creative Economy and Publishing, specialising in marketing and communications. Prior to this she was Marketing Manager at the trade, network, and development body Publishing Scotland, and Teaching Fellow and Research Assistant at the Stirling Centre for International Publishing and Communication. She has worked for an independent publishing house in a range of roles culminating in Joint Managing Director, and as a freelancer she has scouted books for one of the UK’s most dynamic TV production companies.

Gill has been an invited industry speaker at literary festivals, arts events, student-run festivals, and colleges and universities. With a PhD in English Studies she has presented her research at conferences in the UK and internationally. She sits on the Advisory Board for the award-winning independent publisher 404 Ink.
