In a broad sense, my research interests are attention and perception. Currently, the focus of my research (in my PhD project) lies on the effect of familiarity on face recognition. Specifically, how does the internal representation that we have of faces change because of familiarity. Throughout my work, I have a particular interest in the role of memory in attention and perception. To explore these topics, I prefer the use of behavioural and computational approaches. For example, for my PhD, I have explored changes in the representational space of deep neural nets and simulated familiarity to address my research question.
