This is a core module taken by all Marine Biology and Aquaculture BSc students.

This module expands upon, and further develops, the topic of aquaculture by consideration of a number of the key biological research themes in this discipline including disease, nutrition, reproduction and genetics. In addition the module applies biological principles to production systems for finfish, crustacea and molluscs.

The module consists of lectures, workshops, and laboratory-based sessions which aim to develop practical skills and techniques in the above research themes.
